What happens when filming may cause pollution?

Film market is becoming more and more prosperity recent years. If Chinese films have the intention to become someone who is outstanding in the world, they have to pay more attention to the gorgeous scenery, excellent staff, advanced photography equipment and so on.
However, in the developing process of Chinese films, there are more and more environment pollutions being exposed. Unlike American film market owns mature and tacit environmental protection measures, China has the urgent to standardize film market. I have found some cases to compare China and other countries in dealing with environmental pollution when filming. Wish I can find the answers.

The Promise(2005,China) directed by Chen Kaige, China
The promise is a 2005 Chinese epic fantasy film. This film is based on the wuxia romance The Kunlun Slave, written by Pei Xing at the time of Tang Dynasty. Even though this film gained a lot of office box earnings in different countries, but received many criticism voices from different area as well. One of the important reasons is damage to vegetation.
Because of quantities of staff in this crew, there must be much garbage. Besides, the staff there is lack of environmental awareness. What’s the worst, to build the background and pave, the film crew damaged the alpine meadow in Shangri-La, Yunnan Province. After the fact published by some reporters then warned by environmental government, the crew was under pressure having to clean their garbage out, but the vegetation almost couldn’t be recovered.

Three Kingdoms(2010,China) directed by Gao Xixi , China
Three Kingdoms is a Chinese television series based on the events in the late Eastern Han dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period. The series was well received both domestically and internationally, earning an estimated 800 million yuan in total as of May.
As one of four classics in China,Three Kingdomoccupied an important position from ancient times. So this series crew cost a lot of money to invite excellent actors, hire workers, furnished studio and so on. However, what shocked the local people was the crew caused the water pollution terribly. Apart from the stacked plastic boxes, there were many drinking bottles even stool floating on water surface of the Yangxi reservoir. What shocked us was that dealing the problem was not the environmental but the reservoir management. Until Apr.18th,2009, all the garbage was cleaned out completely, the film scene was restored as before.

The Lord of the Rings(2001-2003,America) directed by Peter Jackson, New Zealand
The lord of the rings is a film series consisting of three epic fantasy adventure films directed by Peter Jackson. The series was a major financial success, with the films collectively being among the highest- grossing film series of all time.
The film series was shoot at different places in New Zealand. The scenery and nature are so beautiful that I cannot describe with words. Because of the strict environmental rules, the film crew tried their best to build some scenes which wouldn’t do harm to environment. When the shooting ended, the scenes were removed at once. So the beautiful scenery in the film could be remained until now.

Pearl Harbor(2001,America) directed by Michael Bay, America
Pearl Harbor is a 2001 American epic war film with romance and action elements directed by Michael Bay. It is a dramatic reimagining of the Blitz, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, and the Doolittle Raid.
This film was also a environmental protection case. To reappear the scene at that time realistically, not only the crew chose scene where is the Pearl Harbor’s wreck located, but also blew up 17 vessels. In the shooting process, the film crew was overseen by many environmentalists. And they hired some professional divers. Before filming the explosion scene, these divers would drive turtles and fishes that were accidental injured possibly.

Response to "How Much Does It Cost To Make A Hit Song"

After reading this essay, “Making a hit song is so expensive” was the first impression coming to my mind. Then I want to compare this essay with the text “Bringing Out The Flirt in You” by Christine Ng we have learned. In another word, I will find out the differences between the two essays.

1Purpose and Stance
Ng: ”How to do something”. Ng shows many methods to flirt with somebody in an appropriate way. She uses the words like ”First…Second…Finally…”, step by step, looks like a instruction. Her essay more focuses on “to do”, such as people’s behavior. This essay is much more subjective.
Zoe: ”How the thing happens”. Zoe just states the facts of “How much does it cost to make a hit song”. The purpose is to make people know or attract people’s attention. Zoe was like a bystander, so she can make the essay more objective. So this essay is more like a news rather than a blog.
2Audience
Ng: The person who wants to have a girlfriend or boyfriend or have a marriage.
Emotional needs.
Zoe: The person who is interested in music.
3Thinking
Ng: the statement of flirting many advice
Zoe: list many fees in many ways parallel fees(use specific examples)

Some words I want to say about “How much does it cost to make a hit song”:

We all know that Rihanna is a successful singer, she becomes more and more popular because of nice songs. It’s so hard to make a hit song. Firstly, the singer should have the ability to sing very well. Secondly, the brokerage firm must pay so much money to create a brilliant song which has beautiful lyrics and melody.

How to flirt

Step 1:Establish eye contact appropriately.
Eyes are the windows of the soul, so have a eye contact is a vital part before flirting. But not too much, you should have a good grasp of the scale. You just make another know you're interested in him or her,but don't stare at someone for a long time,it's not polite.

Step 2:Lock the target.
Make sure the girl(or a boy) you'll begin to flirt with is that you are really interested in, please be serious, don't be frivolous. It's not just a game. Nobody wants to have close contacts with someone who don't really care about them.

Step 3:Make a good first impression.(knowing how to reciprocate flirting cues)
Show your advantages to that person, let he(or she) knows you're good enough to get along with. Then they will have a desire to know you more, maybe.

Step 4:Choose a right location to have a appointment.
You should choose a place where there are not so many people so that you can talk with a person more freely and at ease. Romantic is also very important.Besides, don't forget to be gentle.People who is polite and educated will be considered that you're reliable.

Step 5:Exchange basic information(such as hobbies, lifestyles, habits and so on) and contact ways.
This is more referring to your personal information that can make others know what person who you are. This adapt to the appropriate mannerisms.

The response to "Bringing Out the Flirt in You"

After reading this essay "Binging out the Flirt in You", I think that some thoughts from this essay are adapted to my imagination. I divided this essay into three parts, that'll be easy to understand. So I will   express my opinions in 3 different aspects.

Paragraph1-2:It's a very subtle and sensitive topic:flirting with someone. Before falling in love or being in love, there are several cues to attract the opposite sex, like eye contact and verbal cues, etc. The author compares the lion and peacock's flirt with human's, that make the passage more vivid, I mean...easy to understand. As the society steps moves more and more fast, nobody will have so much time to find out the qualities inside one's heart, people are more focus on other's physical appearance and physical mannerisms. And this is where human's flirt is different from animal's.

Paragraph3-10:This part introduces some effective tools about flirting with somebody. There are 3 leaving me a deep impression.
1、EYE CONTACT:When you stare at somebody, it will show your politeness and deliver a sexual signal to someone who talks to you. Eyes are the windows of heart, so your eyes will express your thoughts in a way.
2、SELECT A LOCATION THAT'S RIGHT FOR YOU:As we all know, the environment will influence the emotions. In my opinion, I don't like the place where there is so much noise.I prefer more quiet and elegant place. The interests between both sides are vital.
3、BEHAVE WITHIN SOCIAL BOUNDS:Even though flirting with somebody is not a bad thing, we must master the scale wherever and whenever. Once you beyond the scale, you'll be thought not serious and shallow. So I think we should not ask so many personal things about others when you are not familiar so much with others.

Paragraph11-12:We should focus on self-confidence, qualities and personality rather than appearance.Because beautiful appearance will turn old some day in the future, but beautiful will not. Only if we build up our abilities and improve our living & learning skills, can we become the shining person who can catch other's eyes easily.

The response to "The war of the worlds":Whether the fake news will cheat you or not

I haven't read the original science fiction named "The war of the worlds", so I just want to express my opinion about the essay, the conversation between TA and RK.After reading, I knew this story on the radio making a big mass in America, so I want to explore the reasons why a broadcast can make so many Americans trapped in panic.

1、FORM:The host changed the science fiction into the broadcast so that can make it more real and accurate. They can also use their voice to make the story emotional and vivid. In other word, broadcast spreads informations much more quickly then the books. There are so many clips in the radio play may make listeners nervous and anxious. And the interviewees are great actors, either.Their truly identities will make them being trusted more easily.

2、TIME AND PEOPLE'S EDUCATION LEVEL:We all know this incident happening in 1938. Even though it's a famous story in 1898,but many people have forgotten it.And the host changed the background of the story.1938 is a special year, this time is before the second world war.People were all frightened and be worried about the things happening surrounding them.
Unlike people in the modern society, people at that time knew few about science and technology. So they would be cheated more easily, maybe.

3、NATURE:People will feel nervous when they see something they haven't known before. They don't know how to handle or these things are beyond their control that they can't handle it.They can't suspect the trend of the things will be.That's the worst thing that they can imagine.

That's all.
If I had some new ideas,I will add it to my essay. And I hope everyone who read my essay can give your advice to me.
